Hosting Wheaton College in tonight's contest, Gordon College Men's soccer was defeated by their guests 2-0. After dropping tonight's non-conference match up the Scots' overall record evens out to 1-1. 
 
How It Happened

• In the third minute of action, the Lyons' sophomore Luke Strange ricocheted the ball off the crossbar allowing teammate Charlie Stringer to finish the play resulting in the Lyon's first goal of the game. Both defenses were locked in as the score remained 1-0 going into the break.
• The Fighting Scots came out of halftime hot as they were the first to shoot on goal in the second half and continued to put pressure on the Lyons' defense. However, the Lyons answered back quickly, with a goal from Strange putting another one on the scoreboard. 
• Gordon continued to fight for the ball throughout the remainder of the half and were able to fend off any further Lyon attacks for the rest of regulation. However, the score remained 2-0 with the Lyons securing the win.

• The Scots continue non-conference play on Saturday, September 11 at the Brigham Athletic Complex when they host Fitchburg State with a 7 p.m. start.
