How It Happened
- Gordon raced out to a 9-2 lead in the opening minutes, before UNE crawled their way back to take a short lived 14-13 lead. The Scots immediately recovered their advantage thanks to a layup from Caleb Scott, leading to a six point run (19-14) before the Nor'easters could find the net. Soon after, the Fighting Scots worked for their biggest lead of the game so far (26-18), with 8:24 left in the first.
- While UNE once again made an effort to break through, coming within three points a few times in the remaining minutes thanks to the fiery efforts of Kravchuk, however the Scots continued to hit their shots and dug deep to end the half on top with an eight point lead (42-34).
- Continually increasing their lead to open up the second half, Gordon led by as many as 13 thanks to a three from Sattazahn followed by a three from Treyton Tebbs (59-46) with 13:21 left on the clock. In similar fashion to early in the first half, the Nor'easters battled back and came within four points twice within a two minute span with four and a half minutes of regulation. However, Zach Quanico so much as iced it by hitting a three to extend the Scots' lead to seven before Gordon went 5-6 from the charity stripe in the final minutes to secure the 76-72 W.
