Gordon College Field Hockey took a short trip to Beverly this afternoon to square up against Exit 48 rivals Endicott College Gulls for a conference competition. After 60 minutes of battle, the Fighting Scots fell to their hosts (0-5) who recently defeated the No. 4 ranked Tufts University 2-1 after overtime. 

How It Happened

• Both squads battled back and forth for possession, while Endicott was able to get six shots off before finally finding the back of the net with 1:56 remaining to go up 1-0 heading into the second frame. 
• The Gulls attempted to add to their slim advantage early on in the second, but the Scots shut them down until the 23rd minute when Endicott's Reagan Hicks made it 2-0. Just 2:10 later, the Gulls tacked on another goal to grab a more comfortable 3-0 lead before the break.
• Coming back from the break, Endicott came out hard, scoring two goals at the 33:50 and 38:40 mark to make it 5-0. The Fighting Scots held the Gulls scoreless in the final frame, however, Gordon was unable to break through, taking the eventual 0-5 loss.

• The Fighting Scots have a week off before they continue CCC action in Biddeford, Maine when they face the University of New England Nor'easters at noon.
