Gordon College Men's Basketball opened up Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action this evening on the road as the Fighting Scots traveled up to Biddeford, Maine to take on the University of New England (UNE) Nor'easters on Coach Beaudry's Court and despite a power outage delay, the Fighting Scots defeated their hosts, 88-60.

For the Fighting Scots, Garrett Sattazahn paced his squad with 23 points, Michael Makiej netted 18 points while bringing down 12 rebounds, and Bryce Smith had 12 points with half as many assists with six in the win.

How It Happened

The blue and white continued to widen the gap and thanks to another three-pointer off the finger tips of Sattazahn, the Scots made it a comfortable 10-point game before holding a 15-point cushion at halftime.
  • The Scots stayed hot heading into the second half, quickly breaking the 20+ point lead threshold before the midway point of the half.
  • Five different Scots scored during a 15-2 run in the closing minutes, highlighted by three's from Ryan Tertel, Champ Chipman, and Xahn Frater to give Gordon a 36-point advantage before coming away with the 88-60 victory.
