How It Happened
- The Colonels were aggressive early going shot for shot with the Scots before a narrow two-point lead (10-8) developed into a seven-point lead midway through the half.
- The Scots began to chip away, eventually knotting it up at 19-all thanks to a three from Zach Quanico that ignited the blue and white to flip the script and go on top, 23-19 with 6:18 to go in the first. Gordon maintained their edge until the clock read 1:58 where Curry retook the lead and closed out the half on a 9-4 run to hold a 35-31 advantage at the break.
- Looking to widen the gap coming out of the locker room, Curry continued to hit their shots, going up by 10 a pair of times before the Scots buckled down to climb back, going on mini runs to shrink the deficit and lock it up at 59. The visitors hit a three to swing momentum back in the Colonels' favor but that did not last long as Gordon scored 10 straight points to go up, 69-62 with just over two minutes remaining in regulation. The Scots lengthened their lead down the stretch, ending the contest scoring 11 to Curry's two points to take the 14-point win.
