How It Happened
  • The Scots and Bison went shot for shot in the opening possessions before the Bison went on top, 19-7 at the 11:33 mark. Gordon continued to close the gap and thanks to a Michael Makiej three-pointer as well as two freebies from Treyton Tebbs, the Scots' deficit shrank to just seven points midway through the half.
  • Despite the Scots coming within single digits, the Bison continued to hit their shots to lead by as many as 14 twice before Gordon closed out the frame outscoring the visitors, 13-7 making it an eight-point game at the break (41-33).
  • Massillon opened up second by sinking two from the free throw line in the first two scoring plays for the Scots, bringing his squad within four points. Both sides hit nothing but net for the next 60 seconds with Sattazahn making it a one possession game twice after hitting a three and a layup with 16:19 on the clock.
  • However, Nichols quickly answered back and continued to find the bottom of the net as the Bison erupted for 50 total points in the second to secure the 91-62 victory.
