Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Gulls Defeat Scots At Home

Gordon College Men's Lacrosse hosted the Gulls of Endicott College for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup at the Brigham Athletic Complex. The Gulls offense proved to be strong as the cross-town rival took the 18-4 victory over the Fighting Scots.

On the offensive end, the Scots had four different players (Kobi Bui, Marco Fernandez, Noah Theis, and Will Lestage) find the back of the net for their four goals. On the defensive end, Colin Liscomb made an impressive 24 saves in the effort.

Domenic Russo led the charge for the Gulls finding the back of the net four times while teammates Sam Abate and Nick Paguiso each added three a piece. Paguiso had a game-high four assists in the win.

How It Happened
  • Liscomb was a brick wall to open the game, swatting away six shots from the visitors to keep it 0-0 through nearly 10 minutes of action. Endicott then went on a 5-0 run , three of which coming from Abate, in the first quarter to carry them into the second with a comfortable lead.
  • The Gulls added on two more before Fernandez found the back of the net to give the Scots their first goal of the game and cut the Gulls' lead to six.
  • Endicott was able to add on another seven goals before Lestage rocketed one into the net with three minutes to go in the third to bring the score to 14-2 in favor of the Gulls with one quarter to play in regulation.
  • Both squads ended up tacking on two more to their tally before the Gulls came away with the 18-4 CCC victory.
Beyond The Box Score
  • Today's game marked the third time this season that freshman keeper recorded 20 or more saves.
  • The Fighting Scots look to find their way back into the win column as they host their CCC opponent the Nor'easters of the University of New England on Wednesday April 13 for a 7 p.m. start.
