Gordon College Men's Soccer cracked open their season this evening as they hosted the Engineers of MIT for their first non-conference competition of 2022 where the Fighting Scots defended their home turf to take the 1-0 win.

How It Happened

• The Engineers fired from all cylinders from the begining, however, sophomore keeper Thomas Reardon denied every shot, collecting eight saves in the first 23 minutes of play. Meanwhile, classmate Benji Wright used his speed to lace one past MIT's keeper with 4:28 remaining to head into the second frame with a 1-0 edge.
• Coming back from the half, the Fighting Scots pounded the net seven times while holding MIT to just four shots, securing their first victory of the season, 1-0.

• Thomas Reardon booked a career-high 10 saves in this evening's win.
• The Fighting Scots return to the Brigham Athletic Complex on Saturday, September 3 when they host the Norwich Cadets at 7 p.m.
