Gordon College Men's Soccer traveled to Springfield, Massachusetts this afternoon to square up against the Springfield College Pride where the Fighting Scots were edged out by their hosts 0-1. 

How It Happened

• Just 23 seconds into the duel, Benji Wright attempted to get the Scots on the board with a shot on net which the Pride's goalie quickly denied. The Scots were unable to penetrate Springfield's defense in the remainder of the half while still outshooting their opponents, six to five. 
• Coming back from the half, both squads continued to pour it on but could not find the back of the net. It wasn't until the 68:48 mark when Springfield got on the board thanks to a goal from Parker Thornton. With 21:12 remaining in regulation, the Fighting Scots battled for a goal with multiple shots on net, however it wasn't enough to break through as the Scots took the slim 0-1 loss.

• The Fighting Scots hit the turf again on Wednesday, September 14 when they travel to Waterville, Maine to battle the Colby College Mules at 4 p.m.
