Gordon College Men's Tennis traveled to West Hartford, Connecticut to play against the University of Saint Joseph's Blue Jays where the Fighting Scots recorded the 6-3 victory on the road.
Ezekiel Hall and
Joshua Noel opened up doubles competitions with an 8-3 victory, which followed by another win in No. 2 doubles thanks to
Jeffrey Bodner and
Carleton Riester (8-3).
Leading 2-1 heading into singles, both Hall and Bodner made quick work of their counterparts winning 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-1, respectively, to take a 4-1 advantage. After a loss in No. 6 singles to make it 4-2, James Welborn sealed the deal at the No. 4 position after taking down his opponent, 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 for the Scots' fifth point of the day. Riester also added to Gordon's tally with a win in the No. 5 slot to secure the 6-3 dub.Â
The Fighting Scots return to action on Saturday, September 24 as they travel to take on Springfield College at 12 p.m.
