Kicking off Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play on their home turf today, Gordon College Field Hockey faced off against the visiting Nichols College Bison where the Bison defeated the Fighting Scots, 5-1.

How It Happened

• With less than 30 seconds left in the first, Nichols' Dana Edwards ripped in a pass from teammate Kaelyn Casper to put the visitors on top, 1-0.
• The Scots got to work immediately in the second frame as Caroline Kelley found Gina Ouellette on the far left of the goal who chipped it past the Nichols' keeper to knot it up at 1-1.
• Nichols, however, answered back with a pair of tallies to finish off the half with the 3-1 lead. 
• After the break, the Bison found the back of the net in each of the final two quarters to come out with the 5-1 victory.

Beyond The Box Score

• This marks the third time this season Gina Ouellette has scored in back to back games. 
• The Scots return to the Brigham Athletic Complex on Tuesday, September 27 to host Lasell at 4 p.m.
