The Gordon College Men's Soccer team welcomed North Shore foe Salem State University to the Brigham Athletic Complex this evening where the Vikings were able to knock in a penalty kick to secure the victory over the Fighting Scots, 1-0.

How It Happened

• Gordon held the shot advantage in the first 45 minutes of action (5-3), but neither side was able to capitalize keeping the score at 0-0 at the half.
• In the 58th minute, Salem State was awarded a penalty kick after a handball in the box. The Vikings' Dylan Senra stepped up to the line and sent it into the side netting to put his squad on top, 1-0.
• The Scots did not let up and controlled possession throughout the remainder of regulation, but the Vikings held on for the narrow 1-0 win.

• The Scots return to the Brigham Athletic Complex on Saturday, October 1 to host the Salve Regina Seahawks during Homecoming at 7 p.m.
