Gordon College Athletics

Gordon College Men's Soccer returned to the Brigham Athletic Complex this evening for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) battle against the Endicott College Gulls, the match was evenly balanced by both team, and after 90 minutes of play ending in a tie, 1 - 1.  

How It Happened

• The Fighting Scots came out firing after the opening whistle, sending off four shot attempts before Noah Martin ripped in a shot from 25 yards out, sending it past the Gulls' keeper into the corner netting to put the home team on top, 1 - 0 in the 15th minute.
• Gordon continued to control the tempo throughout the remainder of the frame, holding the Gulls to just three shots.
• Just over 11 minutes into the second half, Benji Wright nearly made it a two score game but his shot went just wide of the frame. 
• Not going away easily, the Gulls were able to match Gordon's score tally with less than 15 minutes left on the clock to make it a 1 - 1 game, en route to the Scots fifth draw of the year.

• Noah Martin booked his first conference goal of the season. 
• This marks the first tie game between the two teams since 2017. 
• The Fighting Scots return to action on Saturday as they travel to Springfield, Mass. for a conference matchup against the Western New England Golden Bears at 2:30 p.m.
