Continuing their longest road stint of the season, Gordon College Volleyball traveled to West Hartford, Connecticut to face the Hartford University Hawks where the home team came out with the 3 - 1 win over the Fighting Scots.

How It Happened

• The Hawks took the first lead of the frame (2 - 0), and Gordon quickly answered. The trend continued throughout the remainder of the tightly contested set, but the Hawks were able to secure the 25 - 23 win.
• In another back and forth battle, the second set was characterized by nine locked up scores before the home team was able to close out the set, 25 - 22.
• Gordon raced out to a 5 - 0 lead in the third and never looked back, leading by as many as 11 before earning the 25 - 17 win.
• Hartford went on a 6 - 0 run in the middle of the fourth to go on top, 11 - 8. However, the blue and white chipped away and eventually flipped the script, 22 - 21. From there, Hartford came back with three straight tallies and took the 25 - 23, 3 - 1 overall victory. 

Beyond The Box Score

• This marks the first ever meeting between the two schools.
• Annie Murphy was one kill off of her career-high tonight with 18. 
• Joey Keltner recorded her eight double-double of the season. 
• The Scots head into Boston this weekend for a trimatch with their host Suffolk as well as Fisher College on Saturday, October 14.
