Gordon College Men's Tennis welcomed the Springfield College Pride to the Brigham Athletic Complex this afternoon for the Fighting Scots' home-opener to close out the fall season. In a hard fought battle, the Pride defeated the Scots by a score of 6 - 3.
Opening up action in doubles, the No. 1 duo of
Ezekiel Hall and
Joshua Noel took down the Pride's No. 1 pairing, 8 - 7 (7 - 5) to finish off doubles with the lone blue and white victory.
Jeffrey Bodner topped his opponent on the No. 2 court, 6 - 3, 6 - 2 to put another tally on the board for Gordon. However, with another Pride win the visitors clinched the eventual 6 - 3 win. Despite the match already decided, No. 1 Hall went head-to-head with his counterpart in the final court to finish and secured the 6 - 4, 1 - 6, 10 - 7 win.
This marks the final fall match of the season for the Scots and will have to wait until spring break to hit the courts once again.Â
