The Gordon College Volleyball team went on the road to face the Western New England Golden Bears in the last on the road match up in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) regular season play. The Fighting Scots fell short in the away match with a 3 - 1 score for the game. 

How It Happened

• In the first set, the Fighting Scots were able to keep it close with a score of 8 - 7, before it was the Golden Bears that were able to pull away towards the end, capitalizing with a five point straight to win. (WNE 1 - 0 GC)
• Gordon came back in the fight with 17 team kills, with much of them being slammed down by Joey Keltner and Annie Murphy, to give Gordon the 25 - 16 win (1 - 1). 
• The Scots jumped out to a 6 - 3 lead, before WNE went on a six point run to invert the score 9 - 3. Again, the Scots would go on a four point run, but WNE was able to come out with the 25 - 19 win (2 - 1).
• At the beginning of the fourth set, Gordon went ahead 6 - 3 and then jumped out again at 15 - 11. However, the Golden Bears tied the score 17 - 17 and held on to take the overall 3 - 1 victory. 

Beyond The Box Score

• Kate Howe had a season-high of 16 digs in today's game. 
• Junior, Joey Keltner, tallied another double-double, putting her at 10 on the season. 
• The Fighting Scots return to their home court on November 1 at 7 p.m. as they welcome the top ranked CCC conference opponent, the Wentworth Leopards.
