On day two of the Colby College Tournament, Gordon College Men's Basketball squared off against the tournament hosts, Colby this afternoon. The Fighting Scots were bested by the Mules on the second day of the tournament, after a hard fought battle (78-89).
Leading the way for the Scots was Bryce Smith with 20 points, while Sean Quanico contributed a solid 14 points, and Treyton Tebbs followed closely with 12 points of his own.
For the Colby Mules, it was Marcos Montiel with a double-double of 18 and 12 respectively. Ben Kaczmarek put together another double-double for the Mules.
How It Happened
- In a challenging first half, the blue and white found themselves down 16 with five and half to go before the break, but were able to close the gap to only seven (45-38) off of a 10-3 run in large part due to the play of Tebbs and Smith.
- The Fighting Scots scored 40 points in the second half and were able to only trail by six points with a minute left to play. However, the Mules were able to convert from the free throw line to secure the victory.

- Isaac Jarvis had a career high of 11 rebounds.
- The Fighting Scots return to the court on Tuesday, November 14 as they travel to Newton, Mass. to play the Lasell Univeristy Lasers at 7 p.m.
