The Gordon College Men's Basketball team continued their road stint to open up the season as they traveled to Newton, Massachusetts to face the Lasell University Lasers. Despite their best efforts, the Fighting Scots fell to their hosts by a score of 87-63.
For the Fighting Scots,
Bryce Smith led the effort with 15 points while
Rob Shelansky added 10 points.
The Lasers were paced by
Andy Madesko who had 17 points and
Marcus Lewis who chipped in 16 points.
How It Happened
- After a pair of Smith freebies from the charity stripe, the Fighting Scots found themselves up 10-9 with 13:41 to go in the first half. However, the Lasers were able to go on a 17-2 run to gain a 27-12 advantage with 8:11 on the clock before holding the 44-26 lead at the half.
- Gordon drew first blood in the second half, but the home team continued to roll, keeping the blue and white at bay en route to the 87-63 victory.

- Sophomore Rob Shelansky matched his career-high with 10 points
- Gordon hosts Anna Maria for their home-opener on Saturday, November 18 at 6 p.m. on Kanas Court.
