Gordon College Volleyball took to Kanas Court this afternoon as the Fighting Scots celebrated Senior Day by welcoming the Curry College Colonels for their regular-season finale. Gordon took care of the Colonels in straight sets to finish the season with an overall record of 14-11 and 5-3 in league play.

How It Happened

• Curry jumped out to a slight advantage early but the Fighting Scots retaliated in a big way with an 8-1 run to go on top 18-11. The Scots continued to roll as they took the first frame by a score of 25-16.
• Picking up right where they left off, Gordon found themselves up, 4-1 and did not take their foot off the gas. Leading 17-12, Rachel Alleva became a headache for the Colonels from behind the service line, rattling off four aces to propel the blue and white to a 25-15 set two win.
• Alexa Quinones dished out a pair of aces midway through the third as the home team doubled up the Colonels 18-9. From there, as Nikki Batson controlled the defensive line, Kate Howe's reliable jump serve paced the Scots to the 25-13 third set victory and overall 3-0 sweep.

• Before today's contest, the Scots honored their three seniors: Alexa Quinones, Nikki Batson, and Kate Howe.
• Gordon awaits the official release from the conference as postseason play begins on Tuesday, November 7.
• With today's win, Gordon has now defeated the Colonels in eight straight meetings.
