Gordon College Men's Basketball traveled to Biddeford, Maine this evening for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) tilt against the University of New England (UNE) Nor'easters where the Fighting Scots put on an offensive scoring clinic in the first to overpower their hosts, 105-88.

To lead all scorers in the contest was Treyton Tebbs, who contributed a double-double with 27 points and 15 rebounds. Justin Yu put up 26 points, while knocking down eight of nine from beyond the arc. 

For UNE, Adam Lux contributed 20 on the night, while teammate Zach Boulay netted 18.

How It Happened

• Racing out to a commanding 29-12 advantage halfway through the first half, the Fighting Scots were not done finding the bottom of the net. The blue and white continued to hit nothing but net, using a 14-0 scoring spree to go on top, 47-19 with 4:14 to go until halftime. Alex Daniel hit a layup after a feed from Yu to make it a 30-point game, but the home team rattled in a pair of three's before the buzzer to cut the deficit to 25 points at the break (57-32).
• The Nor'easters looked to make the 25-point comeback, but was silenced after back to back and-one's from Tebbs at the 14:55 mark. Gordon kept the commanding lead, staying out of reach for any UNE comeback en route to the conference win.

Beyond The Box Score

• Justin Yu had a career-night with with 26 points.
• Treyton Tebbs recorded his first career double-double with career-highs in both points (27) and rebounds (15).
• The Fighting Scots return home for a non-conference game on Thursday, December 7 as they host the Elms College Blazers at 7 p.m.
