The Gordon College Men's Basketball Team traveled into Boston this afternoon for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest against the Suffolk University Rams where the home team defeated the Fighting Scots, 75-60.
For the Scots,
Garrett Sattazahn led the effort with 17 points and seven rebounds,Â
Zach Quanico added nine points, while
Caleb Scott chipped in eight points and four rebounds.Â
Suffolk's
Conor Creane matched Sattazahn in points with 17, while
Keenan Roberston and
Jake Gomez each had 15 points.Â
How It Happened
- The Scots knotted up the score a trio of times in the first four minutes of the game before the Rams began to pull away and go on top by as many as 11 midway through the frame.
- However, the Scots rallied as Quanico and Sattazahn traded off timely jumpers from behind the arc to spark a 15-4 run by the blue and white to go ahead, 32-30 with 2:58 to go in the half.
- Suffolk had the final say in the final minutes as the home team netted eight straight points to take a 38-32 edge at the break.
- The Rams netted three straight layups to kick off the second half and never looked back, leading by as many as 22 before taking the 75-60 victory over the Scots.

- The Fighting Scots have their final road game of the regular season on Wednesday, February 15 as they once again travel into Boston, but this time to Wentworth to square off against the Leopards at 7:30 p.m.
