Gordon College Men's Basketball ventured into Boston tonight to square up against the Wentworth Leopards for a league contest where the Fighting Scots were bested by their hosts, 87-55.
Garrett Sattazahn had 13 points and seven rebounds,
Zach Quanico added seven points, while
Caleb Scott chipped in six points and four boards.
For the hosts,
Jack Connell netted 16 points while
Jake Schaake added 14 points and nine rebounds.
How It Happened
- After getting fouled on an attempted three-pointer, Sattazahn was able to knock in all three freebies from the charity stripe to bring his squad within one (20-21) with exactly 10 minutes to go in the half. However, the Leopards began to immediately pull away as the home team went on a 13-0 run. The blue and white battled back and finished the first strong to cut the deficit to six points at halftime (31-37).
- Both sides traded points in the opening minutes of the second, but the home team began to get in rhythm to secure the eventual 87-55 win over the Scots.
Beyond The Box Score
- The Fighting Scots return to Kanas Court on Saturday, February 18 as they welcome the Western New England Golden Bears at 3 p.m. where they will celebrate Senior Day before tip-off.
