Gordon College Baseball took the short trip to Beverly this afternoon for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) nine-inning battle against the No. 8/10 nationally ranked Endicott College Gulls where the Fighting Scots were narrowly topped by their hosts, 7-4.

How It Happened

• Reigning CCC Player of the Week, CJ Demers continued his hot streak with a dinger to left center to tie it up at 1-all in the top of the second. 
• The Gulls crossed the plate three times in the home half of the third to go on top, 4-1.
• Gordon continued to chip away, scoring one run in the fourth, fifth, and seventh to knot it up once again, 4-4 after seven innings of play.
• In the eighth, Endicott used a pair of hits and a Scot error to retake the lead and eventual win, 7-4.
• Starting southpaw, Brett Moore allowed just four runs in 7.0 innings of work, scattering nine hits. 

Beyond The Box Score

• The Scots are one of only five teams to keep the Gulls within a three-run margin this season.
• The Fighting Scots have their home opener on Thursday, March 30 when they host the Rivier Raiders at 3 p.m. on J. Tec White Field.
