After a dominant win yesterday, Gordon College Baseball returned to Lake Myrtle Park this evening to face the Bobcats of Pitt-Greensburg where the Fighting Scots battled for nine innings before falling to the Bobcats, 2-11.

How It Happened

• After keeping the Scots at bay in their first ups, the Bobcats were the first to cross the plate making it 1-0 heading into the second inning. However, Gordon was quick to lock it up at one-all in the second thanks to a sacrifice fly to deep second off the bat of Ben Chase. 
• Starting pitcher Brett Moore kept his opponents to just two hits before the Bobcats were able to add five to their tally and take the 7-1 edge after three. It wasn't until the fifth that the Fighting Scots were able to cut their deficit by one off of a sacrifice fly to left field from Andrew Hartman to bring the score to 7-2. The Bobcats immediately answered back in the home half of the inning, extending their lead, 10-2 before eventually sealing the 11-2 victory.

• The Fighting Scots will hit the diamond again tomorrow, March 6 to battle the Husson Eagles at the Northeast Regional Park in Davenport, Florida at 5 p.m.
