On day three of the RussMatt Tournament, Gordon College Baseball squared off against Husson University where the Eagles' offense proved to be too much as the visitors came away with a 13-3 win over the Fighting Scots.

How It Happened

• Husson was able to bring a run across the plate in the top half of the first to take an early one-run lead.
• However, the Fighting Scots quickly answered back thanks to an Andrew Hartman single through the right side to knot the score up at 1-all in the home half of the first.
• The Eagles, however went on to score six more runs in the second to widen the gap to 7-1.
• In the third, Hartman once again came through with his second RBI of the evening to score Jonathan McIntyre (7-2). 
• Despite their best efforts, the Scots were unable to keep Husson off the bases as the Eagles defeated the blue and white in seven innings, 13-3.

Beyond The Box Score

• Ben Chase booked his second multi-hit game of the young season, while Andrew Hartman also has two games with two runs batted in.
• The Fighting Scots have tomorrow off before they return to action on Wednesday March 8 to battle the Gators of Russell Sage at 9 a.m.
