How It Happened
- The Golden Bears got off to a hot start, immediately grabbing a nine-goal lead while keeping the Scots scoreless. It wasn't until the second quarter that the Scots got on the board, scoring first as Beling ripped one past WNE's keeper just 23 seconds into the frame (1-9). However, the Golden Bears answered back with four more goals before Gordon's Mini snuck a goal in with 19 ticks left in the half to enter the break, 2-13.
- WNE continued to stay strong offensively, going on a five-goal streak before Mini but an end to their rally with a goal at the 3:27 mark (3-18). In the final quarter, the Scots were able to hold WNE to just two goals while scoring one of their own, however, it wasn't enough as they took the eventual 4-21 loss.
