Due to the forecast yesterday, the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup between the Gordon College Men's Tennis team and the Curry College Colonels was played this afternoon in Milton, Massachusetts.
Kicking off the victories for the Fighting Scots in doubles was
James Wellborn and
Sam Miller who secured an 8-1 victory on the third court, just before the No. 1 duo of
Ezekiel Hall and
Joshua Noel picked up an 8-0 win. Wrapping up the clean doubles sweep were
Jeffrey Bodner and
Carleton Riester who took care of business on the second court, 8-1.
Brendan Tuttle sealed the deal for the blue and white with the five point of the day after shutting out his No. 6 counterpart, 6-0, 6-0. Gordon continued on its tear in singles play, serving up four double bagel wins while taking the remaining two matches 6-1, 6-0.
Gordon returns to action tomorrow as they travel to Quincy, Mass. for a non-league contest against the Eastern Nazarene Lions at 3 p.m.
