Under the lights at Brigham Athletic Complex, Gordon College Men's Soccer welcomed the Roadrunners of Ramapo College in the season opener. After 90 minutes of action the two team ended in a draw at 1-1. 

How It Happened

• Ramapo College came out aggressive taking the first few shots on goal and ended up converting in the 24th minutes of the contest. 
• The first period ended with both teams trading shots to go into halftime with your Gordon College Fighting Scots down by one.
• The Fighting Scots came out of the break looking for holes to attack in the Roadrunners defense and in the 82 minute, sophomore Benny Simpson scored the tying goals assisted by George Coogan IV. 
• The two teams went back and forth until the final whistle blew, ending the game in a tie 1-1. 

Beyond the Box Score

• Benny Simpson scored his first goal of the season to start his sophomore year. 
• The Scots return to the Brigham Athletic Complex on Sunday, September 3 to host the Concordia University - Texas Tornados at 7 p.m.
