Gordon College Field Hockey returned to action tonight as they traveled out to South Hadley, Massachusetts for a non-conference contest against the Mount Holyoke Lyons. After 60 minutes of action, the home team was able to defeat the Fighting Scots, 5-0. 

How It Happened

• Despite four saves in the first quarter and one more in the second from Gordon keeper Allyson Stauffer, the Lyons were able to put up a two-spot on the board to hold the edge at halftime. 
• The Lyons added two more tallies to their total in the second half to come away with the five-goal victory over the Scots. 

Beyond The Box Score

• Allyson Stauffer held Mount Holyoke scoreless in the second quarter. 
• The Scots open up Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play on Saturday as they visit the Golden Bears of Western New England at 6 p.m.
