The Gordon College Volleyball team squared off against the Bridgewater State University (BSU) Bears this evening on Kanas Court where the Fighting Scots came back from a 1 - 0 deficit to turn away the Bears, 3 - 1.

How It Happened

• The Bears kicked off the first frame with the slight advantage before the Fighting Scots battled back to lock it up at 9 - 9 and 10 - 10, but BSU buckled down to take the first set by a score of 25 - 17.
• Gordon capitalized on three straight Bear attack errors midway through the second to catapult the home team on a 10 - 0 scoring spree and overall 25 - 14 win to even it out at 1 - 1.
• With the scoreboard reading 20 - 20, Annie Murphy took matters into her own hands as the junior slammed down a trio of kills en route to the 25 - 20 victory.
• Looking to end the night in four sets, Gordon dominated the start of the fourth, jumping out on top, 18 - 6 before closing it out with a final tally of 25 - 10.

• Annie Murphy has now reached double-digit kills for the fourth straight game.
