Traveling to West Hartford, Connecticut this evening for the first ever matchup with the Hartford University Hawks on Al-Marzook Field at Alumni Stadium, Gordon College Men's Soccer battled under the lights and bested their hosts by a score of 2 - 1.

How It Happened

• Just four minutes after the opening kick, Hartford was awarded a penalty kick which the Hawks converted to go on top, 1 - 0.
• As Gordon continued to press, Benji Wright shook off his defender before sending the ball in the lower 90 to lock it up at 1 - 1 in the 38th minute.
• Not even two full minutes after the blue and white knotted up the score, Wright once again buried the go ahead goal past the Hawks' keeper to give Gordon the 2 - 1 advantage heading into halftime.
• Scot keeper Gunnar Lucuk kept the Hawks from causing any further damage in the 67th minute after Hartford ripped in a contested shot off of a corner kick, but Lucuk came in clutch to preserve the 2 - 1 victory over the Hawks.

• Benji Wright registered his second two-score game of his Fighting Scot career.
• Isaac Bennett recorded his first assist of the season.
