Gordon College Men's Basketball traveled into Boston this afternoon for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) battle against the Leopards of Wentworth. The Leopards started off strong and were able to secure the 97-63 win over the Fighting Scots.<br /> <br /> For the Scots, Bryce Smith, Justin Yu and Treyton Tebbs were identical in points and rebounds with 11 points and three boards, while Isaac Jarvis added eight points and five rebounds.<br /> <br /> Wentworth's <a href="https://www.wentworthathletics.com/sports/mbkb/2023-24/roster">Jack Connell</a> led all scorers with 16 points, followed by <a href="https://www.wentworthathletics.com/sports/mbkb/2023-24/roster">Russell Dolabany</a> and <a href="https://www.wentworthathletics.com/sports/mbkb/2023-24/roster">Nathan Brinkman</a> who chipped in 15 and 14 points, respectively. <br /> <br /> <strong>How It Happened</strong> <ul> <li>Wentworth raced out to a quick 8-0 lead before Yu knocked down a pair of jumpers to cut the lead in half. However, the home team continued to find success from beyond the arc and found themselves on top, 58-29 at the break.</li> <li>In the second, Gordon orchestrated an 8-2 run early, and finished strong in the closing minutes (9-3), but Wentworth was able to claim the conference win over the blue and white.</li> </ul> <strong>Beyond The Box Score</strong> <ul> <li>Justin Yu and Treyton Tebbs have reached double-digit points in back-to-back games.</li> <li>Gordon returns to action on Wednesday, January 17 at 7:30 as they host the Western New England Golden Bears at 7:30 p.m.</li> </ul>
