Gordon College Men's Basketball returned to Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play this evening to square off against the Suffolk University Rams in Boston. The Rams came out hot and despite a comeback from the blue and white, they were able to hold the lead and eventual victory, 73-89.Â
For the Fighting Scots,
Bryce Smith and
Treyton Tebbs both tallied 16 points while teammate,
Isaac Jarvis chipped in 14 points. Â
To lead all scorers on the night was
Kennan Robertson with 21 and in close second was teammate,Â
Danny Yardemian with 20 points. Â
How It Happened
- With a little over two minutes into the first half, Rob Shelansky knocked down a jump shot from Justin Yu (2-8). Smith and Tebbs began trading buckets cutting the Rams lead to 15 points as the scoreboard read 38-53 going into half.
- Starting where they left off, Jarvis had an old-school three point play bringing the game to 41-53. Yu and Micah Steely hit back to back shots from downtown bringing it to single digits with less than 15 minutes remaining. The Rams fought back to regain momentum and went on an 11 point run the seal the deal, taking th victory 73-89.

- With two blocks, Treyton Tebbs tied his career-high.Â
- Gordon returns to their home court on Saturday, January 27 to play the U. of New England Nor'easters at 3 p.m.
