Gordon College Men's Basketball made the trip down to Curry College for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest against the Colonels. The Fighting Scots battled down the stretch but the home team scored in the final seconds to claim the 71-70 win.
For the Fighting Scots,
Isaac Jarvis had 17 points and nine rebounds, while
Justin Yu and
Treyton Tebbs chipped in 15 points apiece.
Curry's
Favour Okeke netted 20 points,Â
Lowelle Torres added 12, while
Nick Johnson contributed eight points.
How It Happened
- The Scots and Colonels went shot for shot after the opening tip, as the even paced first half came to a 17-17 stalemate thanks to a Sean Quanico layup with 8:58 until the break. The home team was able to use the crowd momentum to creep on top to hold the 39-31 edge at halftime.
- Yu made it a two-point game thanks to four straight points to kick off the second half. Similar to the first, both sides battled for each bucket as a Jarvis layup made it 68-all with 1:45 to go in regulation. Jarvis continued to find the bottom of the net with a jumper with 31 to go , but the home team drained a three with two ticks remaining to come away with the one-point victory over the Scots.

- Isaac Jarvis booked his eighth double-digit scoring night of the season as well as his third straight game with double-digits.
- The Scots return home to Kanas Court to welcome the Roger Williams Hawks at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 3.
