The Gordon College Men's Basketball team took on the Nichols College Bison this evening on the road for their second of three Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) games this week. After two hard fought halves, the Bison were able to take the 94-75 win over the Fighting Scots.

Gordon's Bryce Smith had a team-high 17 points and dished out six assists, Isaac Jarvis chipped in 11 points, while Lucas Mouthaan and Sean Quanico each recorded 10 points. 

For the Bison, Tavon Jones and Dominic Mellow each had 17 points, and Jason Ofcarcik added 16 points.

How It Happened

• Quanico hit a shot from behind the arc seven minutes after the opening tip-off to lead, 13-9. The Bison chipped away and went on top, 15-13 before Jarvis locked it up at 15-all. From there, the home team buckled down to hold a 51-35 at halftime.
• Mouthaan found the bottom of the net twice to open up the second, but the Bison came right back to widen the gap down the stretch. Gordon continued to battle, however, nearly outscoring the Bison in the second (40-43), but the home team was able to secure the victory.

• Bryce Smith had registered double-digit points in 11 games this season.
• Lucas Mouthaan booked a career-high seven rebounds one game after recording a career-high in points against Endicott.
• Gordon returns to action on Saturday, January 6 to face the Roger Williams Hawks on the road at 2 p.m. in Bristol, R.I.
