Gordon College Fighting Scots Men's Basketball team took to the road as they went down to Bristol, Rhode Island to compete against the Hawks of Roger Williams. The Hawks used their three-point shooting to propel them to a 106-76 win.
For the Scots is was a trio of
Bryce Smith,
Sean Quanico, and
Micah Steely with 16, 16, and 15 points, respectively. Smith chipped in seven assists for Gordon.Â
To lead all scorers it wasÂ
Ty Higgins with 21 points and
Finn Miller tallied another 20 piece for the Hawks.Â
How It Happened
- Freshman Lucas Mouthaan came out for Gordon hitting two layups to keep the game 4-5 with 17:12 left in the half. The Hawks would go on a 7-0 run before the Scots' Isaac Jarvis was able to stop the run by hitting a layup. Smith was able to score the last four points of the half as the score was 34-48 in favor of the Hawks.
- The Hawks did not cool off at halftime, opening up the second with a big run to secure the league win over the Scots.Â

- Sophomore, Sean Quanico had a career day with 16 points and three steals for the game.Â
- Lucas Mouthaan had a career-high of three assists on the day.
- The Fighting Scots are back in action at Kanas Court, Tuesday, January 9 at 7:30 p.m. as they host the Colonels of Curry College.Â
