Gordon College Men's Tennis took to the Brigham Athletic Complex this afternoon for their fall home-opener as they hosted the Cougars of Clark University. The Fighting Scots started off hot and did not let up as the home team secured the 6-1 victory over the Cougars.
How It Happened
- Joshua Noel and Lucas Barnes doubled up their No. 3 counterparts, 6-3 to put Gordon in position to take the best of three point. After Clark locked up the score thanks to a win on the No. 2 court, the duo of Enric Porcar and Jeffrey Bodner defeated the top pairing from Clark, 6-4 to hold the 1-0 advantage heading into singles.
- Clark secured the first win in singles action, but Gordon answered right back, claiming the final five victories to cruise away with the victory. Porcar, Bodner, Diego Pizzaro, Barnes, and Vittal Harith all found themselves on the winning end of their matches.Â
The Scots host their fall finale this weekend to celebrate Homecoming as both the men's and women's teams welcome Emerson College to their home court on Saturday, October 5 at noon.
