Scots Blank Colonels In CNE Action

For an early morning Conference of New England (CNE) contest today, Gordon College Volleyball traveled down Route 128 to battle the Curry College Colonels. The Fighting Scots earned a sweep over the home team for their third CNE victory of the season.

How It Happened
  • Locked up at 7-7, the Fighting Scots took complete control, keeping the Colonels at bay as the visitors took set one, 25-17.
  • A kill by Annie Murphy sparked a 6-0 run by the Scots to go on top, 18-10. Curry answered back with three straight points, but the blue and white remained in charge to go on top, 2-0 after a 25-17 win.
  • An Abi Elder ace, followed by an error from the Colonels made it a 12-3 advantage for Gordon in the third. For the final point to secure the victory, Olivia Fleming dished out a dime to Jenny Alexander to claim the 25-16 win and 3-0 sweep.
