The Gordon College Volleyball team took on the Hartford Hawks as they came into town for the conference match up. The Fighting Scots quickly sent them packing in a 3-0 sweep.

How It Happened

• The Scots opened fast out of the gate. Midway through the set the Scots built a 7-0 run. The blue and white swiftly took a 25-10 win over the Hawks in the first set. 
• Joey Keltner got the second set rolling for the Scots with a kill. The Hawks battled hard to match the Scots. But eventually the Scots secured the set 25-21 to take a commanding 2-0 lead.
• The Scots scored the first eight points of the third set featuring a trio of service aces by Amanda Pierce. Then kills from Annie Murphy and Maria Clarabuch helped bring the Scots to a sweep as they won the set 25-12. 

Beyond The Box Score

• This marks Gordon's first win against Hartford.
• Next the Scots travel to Plymouth, N.H. to take on Plymouth State on Saturday, October 12.
