How It Happened
- At the 4:30 mark, both teams had scored a pair of goals 2-2 with both from the Scots coming off the stick of Mini. The Lions came back to take the lead, but Mini netted her third of the frame to even out the score once again. Emerson however, was able to score two in the final minute to hold a 5-3 edge after the first.
- In the opening minute of the second, Mini continued to connect with the back of the net, bringing the Scots within one of the opposition (4-5). Not long after, teammate LaPia evened out the scoring for the Scots bringing it at an even 5-all. Gordon found themselves up by three (7-10) with just over four minutes to go, but the Lions flipped the script to lead 11-10 at halftime.
- Coming out of the break, Emerson tacked on five straight goals to widen the gap to 10-16 and did not let up as they came away with the 22-13 non-league win.
