In their final game before heading down to Florida for spring break, Gordon College Women's Lacrosse hosted the Wellesley College Blue at the Brigham Athletic Complex where the Fighting Scots netted the game-winner in overtime to earn the 10-9 win over the Blue.<br />

Gordon's
Caroline Piorkowski spearheaded the victory for the blue and white with four goals and two dimes while teammate
Kaitlyn Mini added three goals and as many assists.
Brooke Roberti registered two goals,
Lilia Bailey added one tally, and
Becca Rhoda contributed one assist.
Jordan Miller scooped up five ground balls and caused four turnovers defensively.
Kayla Davidson recorded her first win in the cage of the season with seven saves.<br />

Wellesley's <a href="https://www.wellesleyblue.com/sports/wlax/2023-24/roster">Finley Tipton</a> dominated for her squad with seven goals and one helper, while <a href="https://www.wellesleyblue.com/sports/wlax/2023-24/roster">Gabrielle Shell</a> chipped in two goals.<br />

<strong>How It Happened</strong>
<ul>
<li>The visitors quickly went on top, 2-0 Â before the Fighting Scots leveled out the score at 2-all with just under seven minutes to go in the in the first quarter. Wellesley answered with a pair of goals to double up the home team, but Gordon's Piorkowski netted her second of the frame to make it 4-3 in favor of the visitors after one.</li>
<li>Gordon controlled the tempo and took advantage in the second, tallying three unanswered goals to lead 6-4 at halftime.</li>
<li>Wellesley came out of the break scoring a pair of goals to lock the scoreboard up at 6-all, but the Scots broke the stalemate with another pair of goals to regain the lead, 8-6 as both squads looked to the final quarter.</li>
<li>Mini added another goal to her stat sheet to kick off the fourth, but Wellesley came back on the other end to net their seventh of the afternoon to keep it a two-goal game. In the final 3:33, the visitors were able to score two goals to force overtime knotted up at 9-9.</li>
<li>With 19 ticks left in overtime, Mini found teammate Piorkowski who ripped a shot past the Wellesey keeper to secure the thrilling overtime win.</li>
