Gordon College Men's Lacrosse returned from their spring break trip as they hosted the Wildcats of Johnson and Wales (JWU) at the Brigham Athletic Complex. The Fighting Scots battled for 60 minutes, but the visitors came away with a 10-5 win.
For the Fighting Scots,
John Flemmi had two goals,
Marco Fernandez and
Caden Lake each had one goal and one assist, while
Colton Poole tacked on one goal.
JWU's
Donny McInnis netted three goals, while
Jack Donnelly and
Jack Davis each added two goals.
How It Happened
- The Wildcats struck first with a goal at the 11:50 mark, but Flemmi answered 27 seconds later to even up the playing field. JWU rattled off three goals to go on top 4-1 to go on top after the first quarter of play.
- Both sides traded shots in the second as they netted two goals apiece as the visitors held the 6-3 advantage at the break.
- With 3:08 to go in the third quarter, a Flemmi goal split the deficit in half (8-4), before the Wildcats made it 9-4 going into the final frame.
- Poole recorded the first tally of the fourth, but the Wildcats maintained their margin with a goal three minutes later to secure the win.

- Colton Poole recorded his first home collegiate goal.
- The Fighting Scots continue to host as they welcome the Hartford University Hawks on Saturday, March 16 at 1 p.m.
