Gordon College Women's Lacrosse took to the Brigham Athletic Complex as they welcomed the Hawks of Hartford University, where the Fighting Scots fell to the visitors by a score of 18-7.

For the Fighting Scots, Kaitlyn Mini booked three goals, Caroline Piorkowski dished out two assists, while chipping in a goal, while teammates Becca Rhoda, Brooke Roberti, and Abbie Zorrilla each recorded one goal. 

To lead all scorers, Madison Olmstead netted 10 goals, while Meghan Smith and Sara Costa each tallied two goals. 

How It Happened 

• Gordon's Mini came out of the gates hot, as she found the back of the net in the first minute of play, putting the blue and white up 1-0. However, Hartford answered back scoring three straight tallies, before Piorkowski made it a one goal game with 7:22 to go in the quarter (3-2). The Hawks outscored the Scots 2-1 in the next five minutes of play to lead 5-3 going into the second quarter.
• The Scots' Roberti drew first blood in the second, but the visitors extended their lead to 11-5 at the break. 
• Starting the second half, the Hawks continued to widen the gap with a handful of scoring sprees to claim the eventual victory.

• Midfielder, Abbie Zorrilla has recorded a goal in four straight contest for the blue and white. 
• The Fighting Scots return to play as they begin their Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts on Wednesday March 27 at 4 p.m.
