Scots Fall To Penn. State-Abington

After a day off yesterday, Gordon College Baseball took to the field to play Penn. State-Abington (PSA) at Northeast Regional Park (NERP) where the Nittany Lions collected the 23-6 win over the Fighting Scots.

How It Happened
  • The Fighting Scots got hot with two down in the top of the first as CJ Demers belted a ground rule double to left center, before later taking third on a wild pitch. Andrew Hartman brought Demers home after ripping a single up the middle. Next batter up, Alex Razzaboni roped a double down the right field line to plate Hartman and go on top, 2-0. PSA stole the lead in the home half of the inning, 4-2.
  • The heart of the order once again did the work for the blue and white as the combination of Demers, Hartman, and Razzaboni recorded a pair of runs in the third to lock it up at 4-4.
  • However, the home team continued to add to their tally in the next four innings to end the game early in a run-rule win.
Beyond The Box Score
  • For the first time in his career, CJ Demers connected for three doubles in a single game.
  • Alex Razzaboni has booked back-to-back multi-hit games.
  • Gordon continues the action tomorrow, Tuesday, March 5 at 9:45 a.m., as they compete against Russell Sage at NERP.
