In their first of two Philadelphia Spring Break contests, Gordon College Men's Lacrosse took on the Highlanders of Cairn University at Delaware County Christian School. The Fighting Scots raced out to a hot start as they captured the 13-3 victory.
For the Scots,
Jackson Wright had a game-high of nine points after dishing out seven assists and two goals,
Nick Buccella netted three goals as well as an assist,
Caden Lake booked three goals and an assist, while
Ryan Long chipped in two goals. Sophomore
Aidan Walsh won 14-19 face-offs and had 12 ground balls,
William McCormick had seven ground balls, caused six turnovers, and recorded a goal of his own.Â
Cairn was led by
Luke Fowler who recorded two goals and
Adian Holliday had one goal.Â
How It Happened
- Lake got the scoring started for the Scots just three minutes into the frame and the Scots scored two more goals compared to Cairn's one to lead 3-1 after 15 minutes of action.
- The Scots continued to dominate ripping in four more unanswered goals to widen the gap 7-1 at halftime.
- Cairn scored the first goal after the break, to cut it to a five-goal game, but that was the closest the Highlanders were able to get, as Gordon cruised to the 10-goal victory.Â

- Jackson Wright recorded his second nine point game of his young Fighting Scot career.Â
- Aidan Walsh scooped up a season-high of 12 ground balls.Â
- Colton Poole scored his first collegiate goal.Â
