Gordon College Baseball returned to action this afternoon as they traveled into Boston to battle the Suffolk Univeristy Rams in Commownelth Coast Conferecne (CCC) action where the Fighting Scots fell to their hosts, 12-1.

How It Happened

• In the bottom of the second inning, the Rams took a 1-0 advantage after key base running to plate the first run of the game. The next inning, Suffolk tacked on five more runs as they laid down four hits in the frame. 
• The Fighting Scots, scored the lone run in the bottom of the fourth inning as Jonathan McIntyre went deep in a ground-rule double to left field scored teammate Evan Clark and advanced Jacob Blake to third, however the home team was able to get out of the inning, 6-1. 
• Suffolk continued to plate runs in the home half of the fourth and fifth innings, which eventually would secure them the run-rule win. 

Beyond The Box Score

• For the third time this season, Jacob Blake had three hits in a game. 
• Jonathan McIntyre tallied his sixth double of the season and 18 of his career.
• The Scots play next on Thursday, May 2 as they host the Emerson College Lions at 3 p.m.
