Gordon College Men's Soccer welcomed the Rams of Suffolk University to the Brigham Athletic Complex this evening to open up Conference of New England (CNE) play. In steady rain conditions, the Fighting Scots and Rams played to a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes of action.

How It Happened

• Both the Scots and Rams were evenly matched in the first half as the Fighting Scots held the narrow 2-1 shot advantage but the score read 0-0 at halftime.
• In the 66th minute, rookie Moises Montano sent in a cross from the left side, finding fellow rookie Gilbert Daru who laced a shot past the Suffolk keeper to lead, 1-0. 
• Just a minute later, the Rams were awarded a penalty kick, but keeper Isaiah Diaz made an incredible diving save to keep the visitors off the board. 
• Not going away easily, Suffolk was able to knot the scoreboard up at 1-1 in the 73rd minute and the score remained tied for the duration resulting in the Scots' third tie ball game of the season.

• Gilbert Daru netted his third career goal tonight.
• The Scots return to action on Wednesday, September 25 as they host the Salem State Vikings at 7 p.m. at the Brigham Athletic Complex.
