Competing in their third game on the young season, Gordon College Field Hockey took the short trip up to Nashua, New Hampshire to take on the Raiders of Rivier University under the lights. The Raiders were able to get on the board and take the eventual 2-0 win over the Fighting Scots.

How It Happened

• The brick wall that is the Gordon defense continued to dominate collectively recording eight saves after facing 17 shots to keep the home team off the board for 29 minutes and 59 seconds. In the final second of the first half, Rivier knocked one in to lead 1-0 at the break.
• Presley Beal nearly knotted it up five minutes into the fourth, but the home team prevailed before adding an insurance goal with two minutes remaining for the win.

Beyond The Box Score

• The combination of Allyson Stauffer and Haylee Briggs combined for a season-high 16 saves.
• Gordon has a quick turnaround as they return to the Brigham Athletic Complex tomorrow, September 5 to host the Thomas College Terriers at 7 p.m.
