The Fighting Scots hit the ground running to open up the 2024-2025 academic year, boasting a record-breaking 3.32 grade point average for this past fall semester. Just over three hundred and fifty student-athletes competed and or trained this semester representing all 24 Gordon College varsity programs.
Two hundred sixty eight student-athletes earned a 3.0 GPA or above this past semester. Sixty five Fighting Scots landed on Dean's List (3.50-3.74 and no grade below C), while 90 student-athletes earned Presidential Honors (3.75 or better and no grade below C). Of the 90 Scots to garner Presidential Honors, 17 recorded a flawless 4.0 GPA.
Women's Track & Field took the crown for highest overall GPA of 3.64, while Men's Tennis secured the top GPA on the men's side with a 3.48 GPA. Overall, 23 teams secured a GPA of 3.0 or higher, 12 teams totaled a 3.3 GPA or higher while four teams orchestrated a 3.5 of higher this past semester.
Out of the three College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team (3.50 GPA or higher with sophomore status and contributed significantly) that have been announced, the Scots have had 11 student-athletes earn that recognition. Additionally, 65 student-athletes were honored on the Fall All-CCC Academic Team (3.30 cumulative GPA or higher and sophomore status) earlier this week.
