WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College men's soccer team fell to Western New England 2-1 Saturday afternoon at the Brigham Athletic Complex. The result marked the Fighting Scots' first league loss of the campaign.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Western New England netted an early goal to seize a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute. Cole Casinghino head in a long throw-in by Tyler Lewis to collect his fourth marker of the season.
- Gordon knotted the match at 1-1 in the 56th minute. Cortez Cardone (Villanova, Pa.) booted home his second tally of the year off of an assist from Cody Dill (Malver, Pa.).
- The Golden Bears reclaimed a one-goal edge in the 79th minute, 2-1, as Lucas Ritson bagged his first goal of the season with an acrobatic finish.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Cortez Cardone (Villanova, Pa.) paced the hosts with a pair of shot attempts on the day.
- Rookie goalkeeper Riley Calemmo (Pocono Mountain, Pa.) finished with four saves in his 10th start of the season.
- Gordon concluded the contest with five shot attempts while Western New England produced 13 shots.
